The ESCALANTE RACER 2 from Altra is a high-performance, lightweight and responsive running shoe.
The mesh upper of this model is firmer and more breathable, and has a lighter heel counter for optimum fit and comfort when running. This shoe also benefits from a slightly firmer Altra EGO™ midsole, which gently boosts energy return and lessens cushioning. As well as a comfortable toe box, it has a grid-grooved insole for flexibility and lightness.
This model builds confidence with its FootPod™ Technology outsole, which mimics the location of bones and tendons so they bend naturally.
