DCTech BB86-92 Oversized for Shimano cranks has been specially designed for frames whose bottom bracket shells have gradually expanded over time. We know this is a common issue with many Pressfit frames. That’s why we developed these bottom brackets with cups slightly larger than usual (by 0.05 mm), allowing the bottom bracket to fit securely again without any play or looseness.
This way, you can extend the life of your bike and keep riding for as many miles as you want. This bottom bracket is this is only compatible with frames whose bottom bracket shell has been expanded with use. Click here to explore the regular version of this bottom bracket.
Features:
– Dual Cup Technology. Two aluminium cups that perfectly align bearings on both sides, creating a solid center joint that eliminates any noise or movements issues. Find out more about our technology here.
– This bottom bracket uses Chronium Steel Bearings (ABEC5 /P5 – 2RS).
– The cups of our bottom brackets are made from 7075 Aluminium, a high-strenght aerospace-grade aluminium on which we apply a T6 treatment. That makes the material harder and more durable, ensuring that our cups mantain top performance over time.
– Fully sealed. Axial seals on bearings and fully sealed on all surfaces.
