Rim height:
– In cycling, rim height significantly impacts the aerodynamics, agility and weight of the wheel. The general principle is the higher the profile of the rim, the greater the aerodynamic advantage; the lower the profile of the rim, the greater the response and better the handling when cornering and changing speed.
Rim Inner Width:
– DT Swiss offers MTB rims with inner rim widths of 20 – 76 mm. The right combination of tire width and rim width leads to ideal tire support. Better tire support reduces the risk of ´´burping´´ and therefore allows the tire pressure to be reduced. On the other hand, wider rims and wider tires also increase the weight of the wheels.

Hookless tubeless TSS:
– Hookless Tubeless, or Tubeless Straight Side (standard abbreviation TSS) describes the design of the rims. Tubeless-capable rims can be driven without an inner tube, but a tube set up is also possible. Hookless or Straight Side describes the shape of the rim flange, which in this case is constructed straight, without the classic hook. This design creates benefits regarding increased impact stability of carbon rim flanges and is feasible up to 5 bars tire pressure.
