Comfortable and easy to handle, Grivel’s K10G CLEPSYDRA S TWIN GATE is a uniquely shaped carabiner with Twin-Gate wiregate and captive systems.
Featuring an hourglass shape, this unique model has a captive zone (held in place by a single wiregate finger) that isolates the belay section and guarantees good orientation even when the carabiner is open. For rappelling, but above all for belaying, it solves classic belaying problems. In fact, the Twin gate’s double opening/closing feature (threaded finger) makes accidental opening a breeze; its flat lower section facilitates rope passage, and in captive areas prevents overlapping or positioning in the minor axis. What’s more, the rounded upper part of the carabiner makes it easier for the rope to slip through and quickly become damaged, while the outer tongue is quick to slip off the ribs and malfunction as a result.
Very small and light, this carabiner adapts to the new fast and light trend, like today’s small rope diameters, and eliminates the superfluous. Highly reliable, it is individually tested and laser-tested.
