Grivel’s K6G MEGA is a multi-purpose carabiner with Twin-Gate system.
The pear-shaped design makes it easy to thread the rope through the carabiner, for single or multiple pitons. Its Twin-Gate opening system, which requires no further manipulation (e.g. screwing), makes it safer and quicker, and also prevents accidental opening due to rope twists or unintentional pressure from the climber. Two fingers also have greater strength than one.
What’s more, its functionality remains intact over time, even when soiled by dirt, dust or ice, like other systems. Highly reliable, it is individually tested and dates from the severe laser test.
