TheHalcyon Big Closed-Circuit Diver Alert Marker (DAM) is an essential piece of safety equipment for any diver navigating open water. Designed for maximum visibility and dependable lift, this surface marker ensures you’re seen, supported, and prepared for the unexpected.

With 18 kg / 40 lb of redundant buoyancy, it offers crucial lift assistance in emergencies -providing confidence and stability during surface waits, decompression stops, or team separation events.

Standing 1.4 m / 4.5 ft tall, this DAM stays upright even in rough conditions, making it highly visible to boats, support teams, and fellow divers. Its closed-circuit design prevents air loss during deployment, while the built-in over-pressure valve (OPV) and bottom dump valve deliver safe, controlled venting both underwater and at the surface.

• Diver’s Alert Markers use an integrated over-pressure relief valve, allowing them to be deployed from depth
• When deflated, all markers fit in a Halcyon thigh pocket or backplate MC Storage Pak
• Big and Super Big Alert Markers are marked with Coast Guard-approved SOLAS reflective tape
• Halcyon Diver Alert Markers (except semi-closed model) feature our No-Lock® connector for oral inflate or LP hose connection
• Halcyon offers several Diver Alert Markers in your choice of yellow, shocking pink, or orange. These combinations support divers who wish to carry one colour to mark their position and one to mark emergencies.
