Safety is the cornerstone of the MET Downtown MIPS. We´ve integrated a leading-edge system to provide enhanced protection against the rotational forces that can occur during certain impacts.
* Featuring the MIPS-C2® brain protection system, the Downtown is able to slide relative to the head in the case of a crash, redirecting damaging rotational motion. The MIPS Brain Protection System (BPS) is attached inside the helmet, between the comfort padding and the EPS. This low-friction layer allows a multi-directional movement of 10-15mm on certain angled impacts, intended to help reduce rotational force to the head.
