The oiled Scandinavian birch handle is shaped for comfort, and the knife comes with a premium vegetable-tanned leather sheath made in Sweden.

– The tight blade curve is designed for carving deep hollows in spoons, scoops, and bowls. The edge glides smoothly across the inner surface without catching or digging. Since this is a right-handed knife with a left-ground edge, it’s meant to be pulled toward you when held in the right hand. The back of the blade is unsharpened, allowing you to guide it with your left-hand fingers for added pressure and control. The shaped birch handle fits comfortably in your hand, no matter your grip or technique – and can be reshaped for a more tailored fit.
Swedish stainless steel for durability and sharpness:
– The 2 mm thick blade is made from recycled Swedish stainless steel (12C27), with a recycled content of over 80%. This stainless steel is tough, sharp, and low maintenance. After heat treatment in our Mora factory, the blade reaches a hardness of 56.5 HRC. The edge is then ground on the left side only, optimized for controlled right-hand carving. Each knife is hand-assembled in Sweden, backed by more than a century of Morakniv craftsmanship.
