The COMPASS TERRA EXPEDITION S compass is an essential piece of orienteering equipment co-designed by Silva. It’s ideal for expeditions on foot, ski touring or traveling in remote areas.

It features a hinged lid and a graduating ring made of REVO material from recycled sources. The mirror enhances your precision and allows you to see the dial in the background for more accurate cartographic measurements on 1:25,000, 1:50,000 and GPS scale maps. It is also equipped with a magnetic declination measurement tool. The clinometer is a device for measuring slope angle, and is very important when you want to assess avalanche risk, for example, or the extra distance you need to cover.

The graduated cord is made from recycled PET and features two scales of measurement, 1:25 and 1:50. Finally, the underside of the compass features non-slip pads to make orientation easier.
